Faro, in southern Portugal, is a popular destination with young people who are looking for sun and beaches during the day and parties, bars, and clubs at night. Since young adults typically have limited holiday budgets, cheap flights to Faro are in demand. The Algarve’s soft, golden beaches and shimmering blue seas plus an endless choice of resort areas near Faro draw mainly younger British, Irish, and German tourists while Faro itself draws a wider range of tourists of all ages.

Cheap flights to Faro are offered by several discount airlines with direct flights leaving from most UK and European cities. Faro is typically just the first stop for tourists, most continue on to the many beach resorts in the Algarve but there is a great number of attractions in Faro itself including the hottest bars and clubs along the Rua do Prior for those that come to Faro to party.  There are dozens of bars that serve Faro’s student population and visitors will have no trouble finding a bar to suit their taste.

It’s more difficult to get cheap flights to Faro during the high season during July and August as sun-worshipers flock to the city to visit excellent beaches in the region. Late Spring and Early summer (June) are ideal times to visit as cheap flights are still available and the beaches are much less crowded.
